Our Facilities:
Our Blairstown, NJ ranch boasts a 200' X 110'
outdoor arena as well as a brand new 84' X 150' indoor arena. We have
ongoing events involving cow work including cutting and team penning.
A 9-stall barn, a 3-stall barn, and a 15-stall barn attached to the
indoor arena house our boarders and outside horses in training.
Quality-of-care is our foremost concern and we strive to keep our buildings
and ground meticulously clean while our horses are turned out on over 40
acres of safely fenced pastures and brought in to roomy, freshly bedded
stalls. There is always riding going on in our arenas as we keep our sale
horses in tune and train our customers' horses. On weekends, you will
encounter friendly residents and visitors eager to get to know you.
Last year, we were fortunate enough to purchase the herd of Starkey Smith
(longtime competitor, owner, and breeder of cutting horses).
We have those 3-yr-old horses-in-training as well as our broodmares and
stallions at our satellite barn in Stillwater, NJ. This facility is not open
to the public, however,
you will soon see some of these horses on our Sales page, so keep checking back.

Tom Riley (Trainer, Partner): Tom grew up in the saddle and has
traveled throughout the country over the years in his quest to
improve his knowledge and training techniques. He now has a firm
training philosophy that revolves around gentle handling and
repetitive exercises to mold top performing horses. His main
interest lies in the cow horse and it's amazing athletic ability,
but he genuinely enjoys improving both horses and riders in general. |
| Stan Horton (Partner):
Stan grew up riding horses every day on a 400-acre working dairy farm in Missouri. When he is not busy leading a global marketing team, he enjoys competing in team penning. |
| Courtney Riley (Secretary, Partner):
Courtney, Tom's wife, shares his interest in cow horses. She has recently become interested in competitive cutting. Courtney handles all event and lesson scheduling as well as website updates. She is always willing to answer any questions you may have so feel free to contact her at any time. Courtney lives near the ranch with Tom and their two children. |
| Laura Engles-Horton (Partner):
Laura has always loved horses. She is happy to be able to learn cutting on some of the finest horses to face a cow. Laura lives on the ranch with her husband, Stan, their son, and their two dogs, Chance and Lucky. |
